When you have finished either DU1, DU2 or DU3, you can take "prøve i dansk 1", "prøve i dansk 2" eller "prøve i dansk 3". It means you participate in the test which belong to your level of education. 

General information about the tests for the Danish courses

All exams consist of an oral and written part and covers four "areas":

  • Reading comprehension
  • Written presentation 
  • Listening comprehension 
  • Oral communication

The longer you get in the education, the higher the expectations og requrements for your abilities and Danish language competences will be. 

The exams test the individual`s competences in the Danish language in order to assess whether the person has obtained a sufficient Danish language upgrade or not. E.g. has the competences to get a job, being accepted to an education, or to obtain a permanent residence permit (Active Citizen) or Danish citizenship (Citizenship).
